Corner bookmark tutorial with photos!

Here is a tutorial for the corner bookmark. It's a lot of photos, but I wanted to make sure each step is clear. I originally saw this on Dawn Griffith's blog. She has a video, and the link is in this post. I added the eyelet border on the bottom.

Start with a 6" square of DSP. Decide which side you want to be the primary side showing and place that side facedown on the table.
Fold the bottom point up to the top point.

Turn the paper so the folded side is on the right. Fold the top and bottom points over to the left point to form a square.

Open those folds back up and turn the triangle so the long (folded) side is at the top. Fold the bottom point (top layer only) up to the top side of the triangle.
Fold the right point back down and tuck it under.

Repeat with the left point. You can stop at this point and have a great bookmark. Or you can move to the next step to add a little extra.

Place the bookmark into the paper cutter, pushing it so the folded edge rests against the blade arm. Cut off the excess paper.

It will look like this after you cut.

Unfold the bookmark and use the eyelet border punch on the cut edge.

Refold the bookmark.

SAB bookmark

Remember the bookmark from this post? Here is a modified, much cuter version! I started with one of the SAB patterned papers. I folded it just the way I did the first one. But then I put this one in my paper cutter. I pushed the folded edge up to the cutting guard and cut. Then I unfolded the bookmark and used the new eyelet border punch along the edge and refolded it. If you want a photo tutorial, let me know and I'll do one. Thanks, Rhonda, for lending me your punch! We'll be making this at my workshop tonight. I'll try to remember to take some pictures and post them.
Edited to add: Sorry this post is late. I accidentally put the posting time as 10PM instead of 10AM!

Quick and Easy bookmark

I had a great card all ready to post for tonight, and then I realized that I sent it in to SU for a contest. So I can't show it to you! OOPS!
What to do? I was checking out blogs and found this awesome video by Dawn Griffith showing how to make an adorable little corner bookmark.
I grabbed a sheet of the retiring Muirfield DSP and got busy folding. The photos show both of the bookmarks I made lying on MY BRAND SPANKING NEW CATALOG! My boxes came last night. So I curled up in my soft warm jammies and went through the catty 3 times while I watched the repeat of last season's Lost finale. The accessories just blew me away!
And today when Rhonda came to pick up her catalogs, she brought me my SAB preorder stuff! I'll be posting some samples next week. You are going to love it! It is not only free but GOJUS as JanTInk would say.
Happy stamping!
