Lots of flowers

I just loved the Sweet Pea felt in the Occasions Mini, and I can't believe it's gone already when I have so much of it left! OK, I'm a hoarder, but I'm trying!
I stamped the image from Simply Said in Old Olive and then chose a variety of accessories to use for the flowers: Sweet Pea felt, Hodgepodge Hardware, Flower Fusion, Filigree brads. Since there was so much going on with the main image, I kept the rest of the card simple.
Supplies (all SU): Stamps: Simply Said, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Tres Chic; Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red; Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red; Accessories: Sweet Pea felt, Flower Fusion, Filigree brads, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, word window punch, modern label punch

Gorgeous color combo

For this week's workshop wow challenge, I issued a triple challenge. The first part of the challenge is this awesome color combo: Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss. The second part of the challenge was to use retiring items. Then there was a bonus challenge: use shimmery white cardstock and an aquapainter. Why the bonus challenge? One of my faithful participants just ordered them because of the reinker splash challenge and wants to use them! I told her I'd use my influence to work them in, LOL!
I don't think this card is really a wow, but I did manage to work in several retiring items. And the color combo is just fab! (I can say that because I didn't come up with it!) It would also be easy to do at at workshop, and it's a great way to use up those retiring accessories but still convince your customers how useful they are.
Supplies (all SU): Stamps: Simply Said, Watercolor Joy; Paper: Shimmery White, Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze; Ink: Basic Gray, Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: Flower Fusion Too, Pacific Point corduroy button, 5/16" brads, Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, aquapainter

Back to basics

This week's demonstratable card challenge was to go back to basics. It was a very limited challenge: 1 stamp set, 3 colors (no In Colors) plus neutrals, no embellishments, no tools (except very basic ones like scissors). Wow! I decided to go WAY back to when I first started stamping. Bold Brights was my first and favorite color family, and now I hardly use them. I knew I wanted to use Simply Said, and I wanted to color in the flowers. Well, Bold Brights are the only markers I have, so that helped narrow down my colors! I colored the flowers Pixie Pink and added some Lovely Lilac in the centers. The stems are Gable Green. My card base is Pixie Pink with flowers stamped in Pixie Pink and Lovely Lilac. I used a strip of Gable Green instead of ribbon, and I matted the focal image in Lovely Lilac. This card took me about 15 minutes, and that's because I had to restamp the focal image 3 times.
Supplies (all SU): Stamps: Simply Said; Paper: Whisper White, Gable Green, Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink; Ink: Bold Brights markers, Black StazOn; Accessories: NONE
