Resist paper and Blendabilities!

This card was from my January workshop, and it features some new products.  The cardbase is Crumb Cake, and we stamped the flower from Petal Potpourri all over the card with Crumb Cake ink.  Then we stamped the flower onto white cardstock using Memento ink and colored it with Blendabilities.  We punched out the flower using the coordinating flower medallion punch.
The paper strip with the leaves is from the Irresistably Yours DSP pack, which is  a Saleabration free item.  I love it because you can make your own DSP in any color!  The paper looks all white, and the pattern is clear embossed.  You just sponge on any color you like!  Here we used Wild Wasabi.

Love is Kindness Occasions sneak peek!

Here's a sneak peek of new Occasions catalog products! My preorder just came today,  and I couldn't wait to play and share!
The stamp is called Love is Kindness. I stamped it with Memento ink then colored it with Blendabilities: Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and Smoky Slate. The Wild Wasabi twine is also new.

Wisteria Blendabilities

I created this card from leftovers on my craft table.  The cardbase is Smoky Slate, and I sponged diagonal stripes in Wisteria Wonder using the new decorative masks.
The tag is Whisper White, punched with the scalloped tag punch.  I added All is Calm washi tape, Wisteria Wonder seam binding ribbon and a sentiment from Good Greetings.
The pansy from Flower Shop is colored with the Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities.  I added highlights with the color lifter and Dazzling Details then punched with the pansy punch.

Coloring with Blendabilities

You may be looking at this card and wondering how in the world I made it.  The answer is I used the amazing Blendabilities.  The beauty of alcohol markers is that you can color on non-porous surfaces and it will dry on them permanently! Use them on embossed images, buttons, etc.
I stamped the skyline image from Calling All Heroes onto Tempting Turquoise cardstock using VersaMark and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I used all 3 shades of Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities to color the skyline.
My goal was to make it look as though the buildings were being lit by the setting sun, and I think I succeeded!
For the cardbase, I ran it through the Big Shot and the houndstooth embossing folder.  I added a Pumpkin Pie mat that I pierced and used the white gel pen to create faux stitching.

Bazinga! with Calling All Heroes

I am a huge fan of the Big Bang Theory TV show.  If you are too, you will love this card.  If you're not, this card makes no sense.
I made this card using the Calling All Heroes photopolymer set.  I fell in love with this set when I saw it, and I'm not sure why.  Maybe it's because I have long loved comics and superheroes.  I'm not sure what all I will do with this set, but I know I will love each and every thing I make with it!
I got the idea for this card from my SCS friend Amy Downing.  She is one of many friends I have that I will probably never meet, and it's all thanks to stamping and the internet.
The cardbase is Daffodil Delight.  I stamped the lightning bolt image multiple times with Memento ink.  The main image uses one of the "Pow" shapes.  I'm not sure what they are really called, but they are the shapes that the comics used for Pow and Bam!  I colored in the shape with the Cherry Cobbler blendabilities.
For the letters, I stamped them in VersaMark then embossed them with white embossing powder.  I outlined the letters with the 05 Project Life journaling pen and colored them in with Daffodil Delight blendabilities.  I added Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler mats.

Work of Art flag

I CASEd this card from Lyssa Zwolanek.  Her blog is Song of My Heart Stampers.  Isn't it adorable?
For my card, I used Shimmery White cardstock.  The swoosh is stamped 3 times in Cherry Cobbler.  The square shape is stamped twice in Night of Navy.  I added 5 stars punched from Silver glimmer paper.  I stamped the sentiment from the May Paper Pumpkin kit onto Shimmery White with Memento black ink and punched it out with the decorative label punch.  I sponged the edges with Night of Navy ink.  The word Happy is colored with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.

New catalog sneak peek!

Here is my mom's Mother's Day card.  I used a new stamp, Blended Bloom, and the new Blendabilities.  This is my first attempt, and I think it came out pretty well! Stampin' Up has a video to show you how they work.  I got to see them used at the new catalog premiere.  Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can!
