June Paper Pumpkin!

Here's the banner I made Krissy for her birthday using the June Paper Pumpkin kit. I love that you can personalize the banner!  After she opened the card, I learned a great tip I'll share with you.  Make sure the washi tape goes all the way across each piece so the confetti doesn't come out!

Using ALL of the Paper Pumpkin!

One of my favorite things about the Paper Pumpkin kits is that there are lots of leftovers! In the March kit, the cards used outlines of shapes, and all of the innards were left. I used masking tape to gently peel these stickers off the backing still in their original shapes. They're adhered to specialty DSP from Saleabration. That awesome glitter tape attaches the DSP to the card bases. The sentiments are also ftom the March kit. Happy stamping!

January Paper Pumpkin valentine

The January Paper Pumpkin kit makes adorable little treat bags for Valentine's Day, but I wanted to make some cards with the kit.  I decided to go with a quilt kind of look by cutting the paper strips into squares.
This would be really easy to do with any DSP, not just what was in this kit.  The card base is Pink Pirouette, and I layered Real Red on top of it.  The squares are 1 1/2 inches each.

Christmas card!

Here's my first Christmas card of the year!  Believe it or not, I made it using the October paper pumpkin kit, Sweet as Pie.  I cut up one of the pie boxes to make the tree.  I cut off 1/2" from the bottom to make it fit on the card.  The box already had the dots on it, so I just added some glimmer paper stars punched with the Confetti Stars punch.   The star is stamped with the Bright and Beautiful stamp set and cut out with the Stars framelits.  The sentiment is also from Bright and Beautiful.  I punched it with the banner punch and trimmed down the sides.  The cardbase is Crumb Cake with an Old Olive layer embossed with the dots embossing folder.

Wish you were here Paper Pumpkin card

Today, I was talking about the July Paper Pumpkin kit with my friend Kristy.  We both love this kit!  I wanted to figure out something I could do with the boxes to include them on the cards.  I cut the box apart on the score lines and grabbed a bunch of my Big Shot dies to see what I could cut.  There were actually quite a few!
The shape on the card above is from the Apothecary Accents framelits. I put one of the star stickers on top and added a star accent.  Then I added solid stars on each side.

July Paper Pumpkin card

Here's a card I made using the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  This kit came with 6 cards plus 6 Blackberry Bliss striped gift boxes.  The stamps are really cute, and the ink spot is Blackberry Bliss.  It came with Soft Sky stickers that spell out wish as well as hearts and starts.  There are also a whole sheet of silver stars.  The suggested design just uses the outline star shape, but there are the punched out stars as well.
For this card, I stamped the sentiment on one of the star stickers.  I put the striped sticker along the folded edge of the card and tied the star on with white bakers twine.  I adhered the star sticker then added more random silver stars.

June Paper Pumpkin

At tonight's workshop, we are making these smores kits using the June Paper Pumpkin kit.  The kit came with supplies to make 24 pinwheels.  It also came with cello bags, bakers twine and mini paper clips.  The banners you see on the sticks also came with the kit along with 3 stamps and Night of Navy ink.  Even the glue dots were included!
I got the idea to make a little smores kit to tie to the pinwheel.  Inside the cello bag is 2 graham crackers, 2 Ghiardeli minis and 2 Peeps minis.  Yum!

Work of Art flag

I CASEd this card from Lyssa Zwolanek.  Her blog is Song of My Heart Stampers.  Isn't it adorable?
For my card, I used Shimmery White cardstock.  The swoosh is stamped 3 times in Cherry Cobbler.  The square shape is stamped twice in Night of Navy.  I added 5 stars punched from Silver glimmer paper.  I stamped the sentiment from the May Paper Pumpkin kit onto Shimmery White with Memento black ink and punched it out with the decorative label punch.  I sponged the edges with Night of Navy ink.  The word Happy is colored with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.

May Paper Pumpkin

I was really happy when I opened the May Paper Pumpkin kit and found cards geared towards men!  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have good ideas for those!  Here's the Father's Day card I made for my FIL, Larry.  The kit also came with a Happy Birthday stamp and little stamps that say dad, bro and son.  There were 4 of this size card and 2 3X3 cards.
If you love this kit, you can sign up for Paper Pumpkin using this link: https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=78050.  I love getting a surprise each month, and the only thing I ever have to add is adhesive!  Ink, stamps and envelopes are included.  There are complete instructions, and I can always find great ways to mix it up a little on Pinterest and Splitcoaststampers!

April Paper Pumpkin

The April Paper Pumpkin kit was adorable!  It came with a square frame and the pieces to make art to put in the frame.  Well, I couldn't give it to my mom for Mother's Day because she gets the Paper Pumpkin too!
I decided to use mine to make a card instead.  The main piece is exactly what was supposed to go in the frame.  I put it on a Crumb Cake cardbase then stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral with a little paper heart popped up inside the O.

Two more Paper Pumpkin cards

I saw this card online and decided I had to make it.  Well, it was a bit more work than I anticipated.  I cut the word "you" away from the thank you, and then I separated each letter in "thank" and "congrats."  It took me a total of an hour and a half.  Way too much! I joked that no one rocks enough to deserve that!
I did end up giving the card to my new friend Meg.  We met on splitcoaststampers, and she was kind enough to invite me to hang out with her at the new catalog premiere event Monday night.  Yes, you read that correctly!  I have the new catalog, and it is full of awesome new stuff!  I can order boxes of catalogs on Thursday, and catalogs should mail to my out-of-town customers in mid-May!

Here are 2 more cards from the March Paper Pumpkin kit.  The bottom card is pretty straightforward.  I just added a strip of gold cut from the envelope liner.

March Paper Pumpkin

Here's my take on the March Paper Pumpkin cards.  I got ideas from a couple of other places.  I saw where someone had inked the wood greetings, and I knew I needed to do that!  On Shelli Gardner's blog, she had used the gold envelope liners as a DSP, and I did that as well.  The next thing I want to do is cut apart the letters to make new words.  Such a fun kit!  I can't wait to see what I get in the mail this month!
