Flamingo Lingo!

I finally got to play with some of my new stuff!  Whoohoo!  I really wanted to use my new stamp set, Flamingo Lingo.  This set is so cute!  It also coordinates with several punches and the Itty Bitty Banners framelits.  Best of all, it's the Ronald McDonald House set, so $5 of your purchase price goes to charity!
To get started with my card, I chose a pattern from the All Abloom DSP paper stack, and I decided to use the colors from the DSP set for my card.  The card base is Pistachio Pudding embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder.  To change up the look of the card, I cut a 1 1/2" strip of the DSP and placed it on the diagonal.
The flamingo was stamped in Strawberry Slush on a 2" piece of Whisper White cardstock so I could use the scalloped tag topper punch at the top and tie on a piece of Daffodil Delight cotton ribbon.  This new ribbon is fantastic!  It's like twill tape but very thin and pliable so it's easy to tie.
I stamped the sentiment in Island Indigo and cut it out with the framelit.  Finally, I added several In Color sequins.

CAS sympathy card

I needed a super quick sympathy card last week, and this definitely worked.  I used the new In Color, Lost Lagoon.  I stamped the flowers from Serene Silhouettes and added the sentiment from Blooming with Kindness.  I used a sponge dauber to add some Lost Lagoon ink to the flowers.  You could easily make a nice set of cards for a gift by changing the sentiment.

May Paper Pumpkin

I was really happy when I opened the May Paper Pumpkin kit and found cards geared towards men!  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have good ideas for those!  Here's the Father's Day card I made for my FIL, Larry.  The kit also came with a Happy Birthday stamp and little stamps that say dad, bro and son.  There were 4 of this size card and 2 3X3 cards.
If you love this kit, you can sign up for Paper Pumpkin using this link: https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=78050.  I love getting a surprise each month, and the only thing I ever have to add is adhesive!  Ink, stamps and envelopes are included.  There are complete instructions, and I can always find great ways to mix it up a little on Pinterest and Splitcoaststampers!

Tag punch treat holder

We made this treat holder at my workshop last week.  We used the new Moonlight DSP paper stack, Blackberry Bliss ribbon, Petite Petals stamp set and petite flower and scalloped tag punches.

Here is the template for the treat holder.  Mine holds 3 Hershey's Miniatures, which are 1" wide.  If your candy is a different size, you can change the template by scoring first in the center and then use that as a guide to center the width of your candy.  You could also change the length.  I chose 6 1/2" because that is the size of the DSP.  The width does need to be 2" if you use the tag punch.
I used mini glue dots to keep the candy inside.  I discovered that the candy is not flat on the top, so I put the glue dot on the side edge where it is raised.  For the ribbon, I used 9".  I put the ribbon through both slots and then tied one knot with both ends together.  That way it is easy to untie without wrecking the ribbon!

Work of Art flower

We made this card at my workshop last week.  It uses the new Work of Art stamp set.  The cardbase is Smoky Slate.  It's topped with a 5 1/4 X 4 piece of Whisper White.  We created the flower by stamping one of the swooshes multiple times in Strawberry Slush.  You can see that the swoosh has a kind of V at one end that looks like flower petals.  We added a pearl in the center.  Next we stamped the chevron in Smoky Slate.  The sentiment is also stamped in Smoky Slate and punched out with the artisan punch.  The border on the punch is Strawberry Slush.  I created it using one of my favorite tricks.  I punched out a piece of Strawberry Slush with the artisan punch.  Then I cut it in half and adhered it to the back as a mat.
I did not come up with this idea!  I found it on pinterest.  It is from prettypapercards.com.  If you follow me on pinterest, you will see lots of SU stuff I pin, including the SCS Creative Crew!
