This is too exciting!

Wow! Three people have already commented on my first post. Thanks so much!

This is a card similar to one I just made for a swap on SCS. I just changed the colors. My mom helped me with the layout and design when she was here visiting. (Thanks, Mama!) This card looks like a tag. The fold is on the left side of the card. To make the tag shape, I cut and folded the base then on the back, I made pencil marks on the top at 1 1/4" and 3" and on each side at 1 1/2". I used the Tonic guillotine cutter from SU to make the cuts (connecting the pencil marks on each side) through both layers at once. But you could draw the lines and cut with some good scissors also. I stamped and cut an extra flower and attached it with a So Saffron brad to give some extra dimension to it.

Supplies (all from Stampin' Up): Stamps: Double Line Doodles, Weathered BG; Paper: Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, So Saffron Prints designer paper; Inks: Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery; Accessories: crafters tool kit, white gel pen, cutter kit, rounded tab punch, 1/8" hole punch, Certainly Celery narrow grosgrain, Rich Regals brads

Here's how I cut out the flower: First: punch out the flower with the 1 1/4" circle punch. Then cut down the side of each petal with the paper snips. Then just cut off the piece left at the tip of each petal! (I read this on SCS, but I can't find the source. If you know who it is or if it's you, please let me know, and I will give you credit.)

It may be a few days before I post again as my DS Daniel is leaving for Europe on Sunday. I have to get him packed and ready and drive him down to Minneapolis. I'm planning to work on a card now, so if I don't get it posted in the next day or so, it'll probably be Tuesday before I can post again.
