Mama's Mothers Day card

I'm in California for work, and I have limited stamping supplies with me, always a struggle!  I started with a Simply Sent kit.  I added 2 Island Indigo flowers from Vintage Vogue; the small one is stamped off.  Pearls and Island Indigo ribbon complete the card.

Shirley's Mother's Day card

For Shirley's card, I used the red card from the Simply Sent kit.  I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Riding Hood Red and punched it out.  I added a rhinestone and Riding Hood Red pleated ribbon.  I also colored the embossed dots with a Riding Hood Red marker.

Viewmaster card

Here is the other card we made in Milwaukee.  It's called a Viewmaster card because you turn the wheel to change the picture.  On this card, there are 3 different kites that show up in the window.  I love all of the little details on this card that are easy to do but add up to something special.

Quarter sheet card

We made this quarter sheet card and envelope at my workshop last week.  The card is a quarter-sheet of cardstock, so the card size is 2 3/4 X 4 1/4.  I got this idea plus the measurements for the envelope from the amazing Jackie Topa.  On her blog, Addicted to Stamping, she has a sheet you can download that has the measurements to make many sizes of envelopes using the Simply Scored diagonal insert.
All 3 patterns of DSP are from Paisley Petals.  We sponged the bird with Marina Mist ink to make him stand out a bit more.  The sentiment is from You're My Type.
The envelope is made from a 6X6 square of DSP, so you can make 4 cards and matching envelopes from 1 sheet of cardstock and 1 sheet of DSP!

Kite card?

Can you find the kites on this card?  The patterned leaves and flower petals were stamped with one of the kite stamps from Send Me Soaring (Occasions Mini) and then punched out.  The inner flower petals were punched out with the small heart punch, and the leaf was created by punching twice with a circle punch.  The corners of the card were also rounded with a circle punch.  Turn the punch upside down and insert the card corners through the circle and then into the slot where paper would normally go.
The outer flower is the triple bouquet punch.

Sneak peek!

I do have stuff to show you from Regional, but that can wait because this is NEW CATALOG STUFF!!!  And you can buy it in April!  Stampin' Up has a whole suite of products called Summer Smooches that will be available for purchase in April before it is in the catalog in June.
I stamped the vase of flowers with the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  The mat and strip on the left are both from Summer Smooches DSP.  I added Island Indigo ribbon and the turquoise piece that's sprayed with Gold Smooch Spritz.  And did you notice what I did to the cardbase?  I randomly scored lines with the diagonal insert for the Simply Scored board.  Isn't this bright and cheery?  I'm in love with this DSP!

St. Patrick's Day projects

Here's the card I made for Ray for St. Patrick's Day.  I got the idea from the door sign we made at the nursing home on Monday night.
The cardbase is Lucky Limeade.  The white layer is 4 X 4 Whisper White with the scallop trim corner punch.  The shamrock is made with Twitterpated DSP punched with the full heart punch, and the stem is the branch from the bird punch.  I added a ribbon knot to cover where the hearts overlap.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with the modern label punch.

This is a full-sized Altoid tin.  It holds 5 Hershey's nuggets wrapped with an adhesive label stamped with the St Paddy's label from It's a Wrap Holidays.  I wrapped Pumpkin Pie grosgrain and Pear Pizzazz ribbons around the tin and covered the top with retired DSP.
