New Hexagon Stamps!

I got the new Six Sided Sampler stamp set and coordinating hexagon punch.  I'm loving it!  I got the idea for this card from one I saw online by Elizabeth Price using the doily, hexagons and butterflies.
I started with the new color Smoky Slate because I wanted to use the chevron ribbon I got.  I decided that Wisteria Wonder would go well with it.  I tied on the ribbon and added the doily.  On top of those, I layered hexagons stamped in Smoky Slate and Wisteria Wonder on Smoky Slate and Whisper White cardstock.
Pauline convinced me that it needed a pop of color.  After we talked about it, we decided on Elegant Eggplant.  I punched out 3 butterflies, adhered them and then added rhinestones.
Happy stamping!

CAS birthday card

This is a CAS birthday card.  So easy to make!  The cardbase is Daffodil Delight.  The hexagons were punched from Quatrefancy DSP.  I started in the lower left corner and then tried to end my pattern randomly.  That's hard for me, but I like the result!  I added the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in the bottom corner.

One layer masculine card

I decided to make a one layer card for Ray for Father's Day using The Open Sea.  He loves this set, plus the nautical theme reminds me of my late dad. The cardbase is Crumb Cake.  The colors I used are: Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry plus Early Espresso for the sentiment.

CAS Father's Day card

This quick CAS (clean and simple) Father's Day card is for my FIL.  Technically, we're not related anymore, but we always will be in my heart!
I haven't been stamping too much lately, but I wanted to get something made.  I got the idea from the butterfly card we did at my workshop.  I used the pre-made note cards and stamped the trees from Serene Silhouettes in Old Olive.  I added the Basic Gray washi tape and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Old Olive.

Gift card holder

This is the other project we made at the workshop.  I found this gift card holder on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts blog.  The Pool Party cardbase is 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 2 and 5 1/2.  Punch a 1/2 circle in the center of the end next to the 2" score to make a slot to pull the gift card out.  Then fold in that end and adhere it at the top and bottom of the card to form the pocket for the gift card.
The Quatrefancy DSP piece is 4 X 1 3/4.  The white embossed piece is 4 X 3 1/4.  We stamped the 4 large shapes from Mosaic Madness in colors from the DSP (Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Strawberry Slush), and we punched them out with the Mosaic punch.  The sentiment from Banner Greetings is stamped in Island Indigo.

Washi tape!

This card features the new washi tape.  I've seen washi tape described as decorative masking tape.  It's also semi-transparent.  We made this card at my workshop last week.  We started with note cards and added the strip of Epic Day washi tape.  The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes is stamped in Smoky Slate.  The larger butterfly (Papillion Potpourri) is stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe, topped with a Calypso Coral layer and some pearls.  (I got the idea for this card from a similar layout on Pinterest done in all black.)
It would be so easy to make a set of these to give to someone as a gift!

Masculine card with new in colors!

This clean and simple birthday card features 2 new in colors and one returning color.  The cardbase is Baked Brown Sugar, the embossed layer is Crisp Cantaloupe, and the stamped layer is Bermuda Bay.  (I got the color combo from the color coach!)  The stamp set is Uncharted Territory (retired).  I stamped the image in Whisper White craft ink and then embossed it with white EP.

Graduation card

We went to a grad party last Saturday.  The graduate's school colors were black and gold.  I knew she would like a little bling, so I used champagne glimmer paper and black glimmer brads!
The card base is very vanilla 8 X 5 1/4 scored at 4 with a basic black mat attached to the back.  I added a basic black layer embossed with the lacy brocade EF.  I stamped the sentiment (retired) with the Apothecary Accents framelit and then added the glimmer paper mat made from a rectangle and 2 circles.  So easy!

Quick and simple card

This is the card I made Mama for Mother's Day.  I was under the gun to get it in the mail, no surprise there!  The base is Pool Party.  I added a strip of the new Quatrefancy DSP (love it!) and Island Indigo ribbon from SAB.  I stamped the one image from Mosaic Madness in Island Indigo and added a Tangerine Tango button (also from SAB).
